and this was what happened. i overslept today =____________________________=
originally, i wanted to wake up early and return yunhui her speakers, which i had borrowed since last year? and omfg. i kept forgetting.
holy smoke.
went to lan today around 3 to 4+, met wl, liang, hq, jy, kw, raymond and fz. CyberLink was full so we went for pool to play a few round. gawd i swear i'm losing my skills each time i play. and the loser of each round have to pay for the duration of that round. i guess the lady at the counter must have been pissed for having to open and close the table so many times.

went lan after that, played 1 round of dota, we won (of course, with kw right beside me, how can i afford to make any mistakes? ) then played ENFOS TEAM SURVIVAL (SOLO!!!) with kw. i think i won twice.
and then, we have kids (judging from their accent, from china or somewhere around there.) doing their usual swearing chant.

anyway, for fcktards and idiots out there, backdooring in DOTA is ALLOWED. don't bring up those " i have played competitions and touraments and i know the rules "
if you really knew the rules, you wouldn't have whined when people backdoored your towers.
so anyway, they were extremely pissed when their opponents backdoored them, and kept screaming and screaming as though their true intent was to murder their opponents in reality.

decided to blog about DXS performance rehearsal today. OK. went pretty well, my first time having to read scores...gawd dam it.
scores written by Tama Goh himself. bah, i've never seen him before...still, hes a senior so heck.
practice today was confusing at first, but arneesh came 10 min after i did, and thanks to him i managed to get back on rhythm. wooooo.
so let me introduce to you all, my 3 precious pairs of sticks (more to come in future :D)
its not much of a big collection actually...
i first had a Zildjian 5A nylon tip...but gave it to keith since he likes drummania so much.
the Zildjian 6A (i think) Trilok Gurtu Series. this fckin pair had been sold out everytime the new stock arrives. it was my dreamstick actually. finally got it when the new batch came knocking at yamaha at tampines.
another of my favourite pair of drumsticks. I don't know its weight, and i don't know its name. cos the moment my hands felt it, i immediately bought it. cheap though, but i love the feel... because its LONG! hahahahaha
the carlos brand..never heard of it ...would say its 7A (its weighs like a FEATHER) i got it for FREE. FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
won it during a lucky draw when i went club paradise to jam with ernest and vick. hahahaha cool eh. i was the one to draw the lot and got a drumstick, for ME the drummer.
and after taking so many photos, i decided i might as well take some shots of my room as well.
i'm lazy to caption it so ....here ya go.
and i was bored while waiting for mom and dad to get ready. lololololol

did you see that? KAIWEN HAS A F#$%ING BLOG! i can't believe it. finally, i'm gonna find out whats going on in that ahem*pea*ahem brain of his. my apologies.
today was pretty fun. hahaha screamed my lungs out RAWR. not to mention that my voice is a goner by now...the first time i ever enjoyed going to kbox. the last time i went, wasn't as enjoyable cos...aye. nvm. with this bunch, i'm able to let lose myself and get high. hahaha.

Just the other day, I was in a bad mood, taking the MRT train early morning.
I was trying to type a SMS to someone, and I became VERY aware of this lady playing her music loudly via her HP.
I nicely asked the lady to use a earpiece, upon which the reply was "I can't afford one." (liar, her phone comes with one). I asked her to switch off her music as it's annoying, and she told me if I don't like her music, I can move elsewhere, or get off the train. After a few requests from me, she still refused. She also mentioned there's no law against playing music loudly in public.
She is SO wrong.
So I called the police.
The police know exactly I was talking about and referring to, carried out swift actions. Within 3 stations, the MRT train master entered our train carriage to mediate. 3 more stations later, the police arrived, the lady and I were escorted to see the police.
1 hour later, I walked off free, and she was detained for investigations.
She now has a police case against her.
Just to inform you guys of the possible laws broken:
268. A person is guilty of a public nuisance, who does any act, or is guilty of an illegal omission, which causes any common injury, danger or annoyance to the public, or to the people in general who dwell or occupy property in the vicinity, or which must necessarily cause injury, obstruction, danger or annoyance to persons who may have occasion to use any public right.
14. —(1) Any person who makes any noise by any instrument or other means in such a manner as to cause or be likely to cause annoyance or inconvenience to the occupier of any premises in the vicinity or to any person lawfully using any public road or in any public place shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $1,000.
Both of these laws, you only need 1 irritant, and 1 person to complain, and that person's in for trouble. Don't ever forget your right to be NOT disturbed in public.
If someone want to play punk and mention that it's public entertainment (like my case), I request a repeat of the statement (to record down), and request to see the public entertainment license, without which she's liable for a $10,000 fine.

Basically, things every drummer does are:
- When our favorite song comes on, we start air drumming and don't even realize it
- When we here someone talking about drums, we can't help but give our 2 cents
- When we're talking w/ other drummers, no one else has a clue what we're saying
- Absolutly anything (table tops, books, our laps,walls, floors) might as well be a drum set to us
- It drives everyone around us nuts
- Every musician says the instument they play is best...but we know which one is REALLY the
best
- When asked why we left our last band it's always "Cause everyone else was a dick"
- We bitch about having to haul our gear to gigs, but we wouldn't trade it for the world
- We make it look easy
- There's no argument like Zildjian vs Sabian
- ...except maybe Birch vs Maple
- Trashing our set is like slapping our mama...that just AIN'T GONNA FLY
- We know the difference between a skilled player and a loud player
- No one else knows how retarded someone looks when you get pissed off at them for denting the shit out of your new set of freshly tuned drum heads and asks "Dude, whats your problem? Whats the big deal?"
- When we see a good drummer play, that's all we see
- When we see a crappy drummer play, same thing
- Most bands take us for granted...and regret it the second we're gone
- People can't seem to understand why we'll play $350 for a round piece of metal or $1500 for a set of shells
- We all have somewhat big heads and need to be put in our place sometimes lol

- When we see a crappy drummer play, same thing
- Most bands take us for granted...and regret it the second we're gone
- People can't seem to understand why we'll play $350 for a round piece of metal or $1500 for a set of shells
- We all have somewhat big heads and need to be put in our place sometimes lol
- Usually that someone is a better drummer that just makes us wanna to play even more
- Blisters and calases are a small price to pay
- You know who the drummer is after the show...he's the guy with his shirt off, pouring w/ sweat and rubbing his wrists
